Blast Off!!

I finally got finished with the first art print of the year! Blast off is based on some match box graphics from the cold war space race era. I used a muted colors resembling vaguely the look used in a Hanna-Barbera cartoon from the 60’s. Enjoy.

Almost a new print

Posted May 5, 08:28 AM

On Sunday I tired to finished up a three color print do I could get it online today but I could only get 2 colors printed. Our son is heavy into teething and I had to sneak away while he was sleeping, which wasn’t very long. Hopefully tonight I can finish that one up. I have one more for mariostash.com ready to go also, which will be two colors.

A lot of people asked me at Craftstravaganza how they could get my prints framed. Most printmakers I know grab what ever paper size is available and go with it, which tend not to be standard sizes (8×10”, 5×7”, etc.). I have standardized all my prints to 12×18”, and I recommend using American Frame to get them framed. Any of my prints framed with their black “techline” frames would run about $50 with mat and glass (plexiglass). The frames come unassembled and take about 15 minutes to put together. They are who we use to frame all the art in my house.
