I just found out through some friends from the College of Visual Arts that the school is closing it’s doors after the end of the school year.
According to the school’s administration, it was unable to weather the current economic crisis and continue to meet the financial and academic needs of its students.
A very sad day.

I’m continuing to create posters for the Babe City Rollers in Bemidji. Here a few of the recent ones I’ve whipped up for their bouts.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything to the site or worked on anything Withremote related. I think it’s time for a break and try new things. Lately I’ve been working on some woodworking projects in my garage-that-was-my-print-shop, thinking of making some functional items rather than things that can just go on a wall. Don’t get me wrong, I love printmaking and screen printing but I feel like it’s time to try something else.
I finished up this thing the other day, a bamboo skewer knife rack contained in a finger joint box.
You should see more of this kind of thing coming soon, as long as I have some time to work on it, we’re still trying to sell our house in Bemidji to get into something bigger.

I got my Flow iPad stylus by Joystickers today, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I really like it, I'm going to write a review of it tomorrow on punchakitten.com.
I got into playing with the iPad app ArtRage tonight. 3 hours later I was able to come up with something that looks like some of the analog paintings I've done before on canvas. I really like the blending that happens with the brush tool, it give the feel of wet paint. Very cool app, I'll likely be using it a lot.
We had our first hard frost last week in Bemidji, so the trees are starting to change colors already. The changing colors on the trees got me thinking of making some Fall like things. Not sure if this will end up as anything, I just started doodling on my iPad and this was the result.
